Artist Statement

Recently I have been inspired by the Scottish rural environment in contrast to my previous body of work which was based on the urban environment of Italy.

Italy will always inspire artists. There is a visual stimulation around each corner; hill villages, churches, art galleries and museums abound while Scotland’s light and landscape led me to concentrate on a more neutral palette and develop my interest in the use of found objects.
