Artist Statement 

A collaboration with Gerda Stevenson for the recent edge exhibition inspired me to base my images on the poem ‘At Miss Eardley’s’. I researched Joan Eardley’s work and life in her studio in Glasgow and used the colours and textures in the shapes of the thin, lively children who were such a part of her practice, using painted fabric and hand stitching.
