Artist Statement

I enjoy a variety of techniques to produce my mixed media artwork.

This work can include old, reused, reloved and found objects that bring their own history which -including paper, fabric and stitch – becomes part of the new work.

I enjoy the research, developments and the process of actually engaging with the work. I particularly enjoy the art for its own sake – the process of “the doing” and how that process involves fun, experimenting and the joy of the art materials – crayons, pencils, the tearing, glueing, painting and playing are worth just ” the doing”. To exhibit or focus towards a goal is a bonus.
