Window Shopping
Shop window displays are often fascinating, especially at night, and provide me with endless inspiration. My current way of working is to take photographs, draw very small designs from the photographs using black pen only, dye and colour fabrics and use free machine embroidery to create a piece of work from the photographs, the fabrics and the drawn designs. The enclosed sample was made in this way.
