Artist Statement

I have worked with fabrics all my life in some form or other. Completing my City & Guilds Diploma a few years ago left me more confident to develop my textile art. I’m drawn to nature and intrigued by lines, shapes, shadows and marks on the land, both natural and man made. These can often be the starting point for a new piece or body of work.

I’m currently exploring natural dyeing, printing and mark making techniques in my studio in rural Aberdeenshire.
