Why ‘Surfaces and Undercurrents’?
Perhaps nothing is quite so much about surface texture and interest than Textile Art but the visual and tactile aspect is only part of the story. Each work is an expression of the Artist’s concerns, backstory and Individual Inspiration. The interpretation and result is as different for every EDGE Artist as their personal lived experience and so those deep ‘Undercurrents’ also shape the ‘Surfaces’ we create. The show is a rich and immersive journey through fibre, colour, texture, expression and inspiration and we guarantee you’ll find a piece you share an affinity with.
